An update from The Dogs' Spot on COVID-19

THE DOGS’ SPOT WILL BE OPEN FOR CLASSES BEGINNING MONDAY, MAY 4.

Keeping our customers and their four-legged family members safe and healthy is at the very top of our priority list. We are taking the necessary steps to do our part in reducing the spread of COVID-19 or Coronavirus.

As our local community is seeing the impacts of COVID-19, we want to share the things we are doing to keep our clients and their dogs safe in accordance with the CDC's guidelines.

First of all, The Dogs' Spot is back open and classes will continue as scheduled. If conditions change again, our clients will be notified via email and social media.

It is very important that clients who aren't feeling well refrain from attending classes. If you are concerned about missing a class, please contact Laura or your class instructor to discuss ways to make up the class.

While you are training, we ask that you implement these practices:

  1. Do not come to class if you are not feeling well. This goes for our trainers as well.

  2. Limit attendance at training to a maximum of two human family members per dog.

  3. Wait at the door before entering the facility - our staff will assist you from there.

  4. Keep at least six feet away from other people and their dog.

  5. Do not pet other people’s dogs – no matter how tempting it may be.

  6. Wear a facemask. If you do not have one, we will give you one at the door.

  7. Wash your hands or sanitize more frequently while training and treating and petting your dog(s) in and out of the facility. Our instructors and staff will do the same.

  8. As always, let your trainer know if you are unable to make it to class.

Finally, our instructors are very familiar with all health recommendations and requirements and will advise participants during class on how to conduct themselves to ensure their experience and their dog's experience is good while protecting everyone's health to the best of our ability.

We will share more updates if and when needed.

Thank you for your support,
